Sunny walks with PinkBlush Maternity

Phoenix has gone back to fighting naps almost everyday since learning to sit up over a month ago. It’s been an exhausting, albeit fun, month! No one fully told me how many developmental changes a baby goes through during their first year. As soon as we master a “schedule” Phoenix goes and learns something new. I think Phoenix is a little on the early side for rolling, sitting-up and crawling. I have a feeling he’ll be walking before he’s 10 months old.

He surprises me everyday. I just love being his mama.

Yesterday (after two failed naps) Jordan and I decided to push aside our to-do lists and take advantage of the beautiful sunny February weather. Phoenix needed a proper distraction and we all needed to feel the sunshine on our faces. It’s been several weeks since the three of us ventured out together exploring our new neighborhood. Finding extra time is challenging, but I am hopeful for more opportunities now that we are incorporating a sitter to watch Phoenix some of the days I am at work. This way Jordan isn’t making up as much lost work time throughout the entire weekend.

I was craving tacos, so first we went to Local Taco for a late lunch. There was a random long wait, so we went on a walk while they prepared our food. Afterwards, we popped across the street to watch golfers at the driving range. It was a refreshing afternoon! Phoenix even snuck in a little catnap while on our way home. Phoenix still went to bed at 6 pm. He couldn’t handle anymore of the day! HA.

The weather was warm enough to wear my new sleeveless stripped dress c/o from PinkBlush and my Birkenstocks. I wore this stripped dress all throughout my pregnancy, but I wanted one to wear now! While it’s not the most nursing friendly article of clothing I own, it’ll be great for chasing a toddler (it doesn’t seem that far off!).

At this point in my nursing journey, I nurse in the car if my clothing is tricky to work around. This kimono is very nursing friendly. I wish I had it when I was first trying to nurse in public!

PinkBlush has partnered with me to offer one of you a $50 gift card to their store!

  1. You look gorgeous! Ugh, I feel for you and the nap strike. If it makes you feel any more hopeful, Jack (13 months now) has just entered a stage where he seems to love naps…he’ll even crawl over to a blanket and put himself to sleep on the floor sometimes.

  2. Oh what a sweet little face he has! Honestly it is crazy how quickly these little babies change just from week to week! And that dress is adorable! Pink Blush is one of my favorite places to shop 🙂 Have a great rest of your week!

  3. The dress looks great! But I think your adorable baby steals the show! Lol. Sooo cute! Loved how you styled the dress and made it look effortlessly chic! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
