A Pantone Baby Shower

Pantone Baby Shower

A few weeks ago, some Nashville friends gathered around us to celebrate the arrival of Baby Short. Jordan and I feel so blessed (an overused word, but also true) by our Nashville community and when I originally sat down to write this post, all I could think about was gratitude. My heart is bursting with love.

Moving to a new city is overwhelming for a multitude of reasons, but quite possibly one of the biggest reasons is the fear of loneliness. Will I be able to find a tribe? It’s a valid concern as finding friends isn’t a guarantee. Through some luck (and a little effort), we have found ourselves embraced by an amazing group of people. This tribe came together to host a lovely and relaxing baby shower.

Jordan and I had no requests for our baby shower, except that it would be a time to relax and enjoy time with our friends. As the pictures will show the baby shower’s theme was Pantone, which is genius considering Jordan is a graphic designer!

When I was last at my parent’s house, my mom and I were flipping through old photos when I stumbled upon the baby shower for me. It was really sweet seeing the community my mom had developed in such a short after their move from New York to Ohio less than a year before I was born. I can’t wait to show these shower pictures to our little one someday, for him to visually see the loving environment he was entering into.

  1. I just love your theme so much! The photo of you two and the cake is just perfect. You’re so lucky to have found a solid group of people to make yours there.

  2. What a lovely baby shower! I adore the theme and how it was decorated. As someone who is currently moving around a lot, I’ve felt the same fears about not finding a community or tribe. What a blessing it truly is!

  3. SUCH a great theme for a baby shower! I love how un-babyish but still sweet but still appropriate for couples it is. Tucking away for future reference 🙂

  4. I’m loving all the little details that brought this shower together! And that cake looks absolutely adorable and delicious. It’s so scary, like you said, moving to a new city where the thought of making new friends is daunting. But, people are often placed in your life during various seasons and it looks like you have a great group to call your ‘tribe.’ So many blessings and it’s a privilege to read and follow you on this journey <3
