BUMPstyle Box Review

I love reading reviews on different monthly clothing subscription boxes on the market, but I never felt compelled to try one for myself. I’ll admit most of the time I wasn’t impressed with the selection and since I live close to several shopping centers, I never felt the need to have someone else shop for me. Well, shopping for maternity clothes is a different ball game!

First off, only a small handful of stores offer maternity options. Within those stores the selection isn’t very large, so you still have to shop around for specific items. If you order online there is the conundrum of paying for shipping and potential returns. It’s hard to gage the quality of the pieces online and I’ve realized that quality does matter when it comes to maternity clothes. I have returned more items in the past five months (due to the pieces not holding up) than I have in years!

So when BUMPstyle Box reached out to me to try their subscription box service, I immediately said yes!

BUMPstyle Box works similarly to many subscription services: free shipping both ways, no monthly contract and the styling fee of $30 is applied to any purchase of $150 or more. A box can be ordered on a month by month basis or more if you want! You begin by filling out a style survey and notes to your stylist on any specifics. I mentioned I was looking for a pair of jean shorts and dresses I can wear to my showers. My favorite feature is each box contains 4-5 outfits. Shoes too!

I had a lot of fun playing around with the clothes which you’ll see more of in future posts! Today is all about this beautiful spring dress. I love the floral pattern, which is perfect for this time of year.

    1. Thank you Chelsea! It was pretty comical trying to get those shoes on my feet. HAHA. I think I’m just about at the point where Jordan will have to strap me in. 😉

  1. Very pretty dress! I toyed between BUMPstyle and Stitchfix since they offer maternity options too and ultimately went with StitchFix, mostly because I figured if I liked the fixes then I could continue with them post partum. So far I’ve loved what they sent! That dress is beautiful. Do they send you a variety of price points, or are most pieces around the same cost?

    1. The prices vary just like Stitchfix where you tell them what you are willing to spend on a particular item. The clothes are a bit more “high end” so most things in my box were over $100 except for a nursing tank (but I also didn’t choose the cheapest option because I was curious).

I received a pair of shorts that were $108 and if they were the right size I would have kept them because honestly I’ve tried so many price points and it’s just hard to find things that fit. I’m finding with certain maternity pieces the stretch quality doesn’t last so I’m willing to spend a bit more and just wear things more often! I only have one pair of jeans because I couldn’t find cheap options.
