Bon Apetit

Sending | Thank you notes from Christmas. It was on my to-do list for the entire month of January and while I’d like to blame this pregnancy on my lack of motivation it’s just me not getting my act together! HAHA.

Eating | My favorite breakfast as of late is a combination of Greek yogurt, granola and a sliced banana. Since becoming pregnant dairy and gluten have been added back into my life. Greek yogurt has a lot of protein and it’s been a filling breakfast.

Dreaming | Of the warmer weather, which taunted us last weekend, and our upcoming trips this spring!

Smelling | We’ve been diffusing On Guard since Christmas. It’s a warm wintry scent, as clove is one of the main essential oils. I’d like to try a new blend as we transition into spring and summer. Maybe something like Purify which has more citrus notes to it.

Hearting | All of you! It’s going to take me a bit to respond to all of the sweet comments left from our announcement.

  1. The warmer weather last weekend was wonderful! I just want to hibernate until Spring now. Knowing Nashville we’ll get another snow storm soon. 🙂

  2. I am so excited for your baby! I had to switch up my diet a lot this time around, with my iron and sugar being in the pits, so I feel the adding things back in. Babies are the best kind of surprise 🙂

    1. Thank you, Lauren! It’s interesting what foods I’ve been obsessed with. I can’t get enough apples…which is a good fruit to crave as it’s extremely accessible!

  3. I hear you about the thank you notes…it took me a few weeks to write all our baby shower ones and I am allll about blaming pregnancy brain for that. 😉 That breakfast sounds super yummy! I hope you’re feeling okay and able to keep yummy things down!

    1. Thankfully I was never that sick (and I went into this pregnancy expecting it could happen as I would occasionally get sick on my periods)….I’m going to have to stay on top of baby thank you notes!

  4. Thank you for letting me know I’m not the only one who took that long on the Christmas thank you notes – ha! And greek yogurt + granola has been my breakfast of choice for years. I use Kashi cereal for even more protein bonus.

    1. I can actually say that I wrote and sent them all! My brother works for Kellogg in product development and was originally hired to work strictly for Kashi (they are now completely merged). We’re big fans of the brand! Haha.
