A Night Of Holiday Style

A few months ago Fruition Salon reached out to myself and Moriah Murrell to host a holiday themed blogger night. I immediately said yes and began helping to plan this festive night of holiday style. We all wanted this evening to be fun but also informative. If you’re like me, you spend the majority of your time selecting an outfit for a holiday party but throw your hair in a topknot because you really have no idea how to style it. Haha. This event was about to change all that.

Each guest was instructed to bring their curling tool of choice. No reason to practice on a tool you don’t own! The goal for this evening was for everyone to leave with the skills needed to recreate a new look at home!

The night began with a holiday cocktail, coffee and appetizers. I’m still dreaming about the delicious gluten-free pie The Loving Pie Company donated. A Christmas music playlist (provided by my husband!) played softly aiding in setting a festive mood. After mingling and sipping on our tasty cocktails the night began!

Kasey, a stylist from Fruition, broke the style into segments. We gathered as a group to hear first how to section our hair, than the curl pattern needed and finally how to brush our curls out and pin it securely. Everyone practiced segment by segment at their stations, all with a little help from the stylists who were walking around ushering in pointers when needed. I was amazed at everyone’s skills!

The end result were curls brushed out to create a soft wave and slightly pinned back behind one ear. I can’t wait to recreate this for New Years Eve!

  1. I love the idea of getting together for a styling night! It looks like a blast; and your hair looks amazing! I love to get mine done, but I am like you-on nights when i’m going out it usually ends up in a bun on top of my head

  2. Love this! How creative of Fruition Salon! And their space is gorgeous.
Kind of off topic.. but I love when you can find a fave salon in your town and get to know the stylists. I desperately need a haircut but am terrified of stepping into a random salon while on the road. My first (and favorite) stylist in Charlotte spoiled me for the rest of my hair cutting life! ha!

    1. Oh I know. It really is terrifying. I have been spoiled by having my best friend as a hair stylist. We haven’t always lived near one another though so whenever one of us moves away I panic a bit about what to do with my hair. It’s silly but true!

  3. What a gorgeous salon! And I seriously need an event like this… how brilliant to have people bring their own tools to learn on. Your hair looks so pretty!

  4. Thanks for sharing the details and lovely photos from this beauty event. Let me know next time you are hosting an event in Nashville, I may be able to get a layover or just visit on my own. Your hair looks so healthy and lovely! I appreciate salons and stylist that offer classes. I would love to learn to braid.
