As a child, I would often get my brother’s hand-me-downs: Starter Jackets, hoodies, and winter snow boots. I even remember wearing a particular pair of Adidas tear-away athletic pants during swim meets. I loved how easy they were to put on and take off. Friends of mine who had older sisters found hand-me-downs disappointing, but to me it seemed like a magic treasure chest full of goodies. I never knew which piece of “boys” clothing I could repurpose into something all my own.
Now, instead of wearing items from my brother’s closets, I just steal things from Jordan’s drawers. It’s a perk of marriage. 🙂
