Weekend Links / / Reunited

Today is a good day. Today, Jordan returns home from London! I can’t wait to meet him at the airpot! I’m grateful he’s had the opportunity to travel more for work, but I sure did miss him. I found plenty of ways to occupy my time this week (err 10 days) — I baked some, cleaned some and met up with friends, but Jordan is my person and I just love being near him.

It’s been in the 80’s all week, our farmers market opened on Tuesday, and I finally ordered a new swim suit. Summer in Nashville has arrived!

I had A LOT of time to read blogs this week and it wasn’t easy to narrow down which posts to share! Let’s get right to it.

/ / I was scrolling through Instagram earlier in the week and became intrigued with BreAnna’s suggestion to turn Ambitious Kitchen’s Salted Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies into muffins. Delicious! I’ve slowly begun to find a few gluten-free baked treats that I really love and these have been added to that list.

/ / I wish I would have had Brittany’s 8 Tips for Creating a Simple Wedding Registry when I registered for our wedding. My favorite piece I registered for was my Kitchen Aid Mixer — it’s so useful, but we registered for some unnecessary stuff too. Like an apple core slicer? It’s a luxury item when you have a large kitchen, but not for apartment living.

/ / Mother’s Day is wonderful but it can be a tricky holiday. Celebrating mothers is a wonderful thing but what if you don’t have a good relationship with your mom? What if you lost your mother tragically? Infertility can also add a whole other layer.

I’ve come to the conclusion that these small holidays, while significant to your family, should be celebrated privately and with awareness. Lisa gathered a few resources for Going to Church on Mother’s Day.

/ / 8 Purchases That Actually Make You Richer. Are your time, talents, and treasures going towards the things that make you feel alive and are important to you? Daisy shares the areas that she focuses on.

/ / Did you or someone you know recently graduate college? I loved Anna’s suggestion to create a group text with your friends. It’s true, if you don’t play a role in activity maintaining relationships they will fizzle when distance comes in.

Happy Weekend, all!
