Currently / / March

Dreaming | The weather is slowly inching warmer (though an ice storm is supposed to be here tonight!) and I’m looking forward to regular afternoon walks with Jordan. These walks are a perfect remedy for the dreaded 3pm energy slump.

Planning | Meals for the week. I’ve been in a soup/chili rut and while they’ve been delicious I need to branch out. I made this kale, rice, and bean bowl last week and it was delicious! What are you making for dinner?

Making | Checklists — March is already shaping to be the month of getting business done: taxes, budgeting & finalizing vacation details, transferring our car title, etc. Last year at this time I was focused on packing for our impending move and I’m excited to enter the summer more streamlined!

Baking | Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Oat Bars — yum! And the above pictured banana bread granola.

Watching | Jordan and I are marathoning Friends. We started several years ago, but now that all 10 seasons are on Netflix, it’s much easier to keep up. When I was younger I found Phoebe annoying (probably because I didn’t get her humor) but as an adult I find her hilarious!

  1. I hear you, girl. I love soups and chilis, but this winter has been so long that I’m just over them. I can’t wait for grilling season and fresher vegetables and fruit! Also, I’m with you on Phoebe. I didn’t like her when I was younger because I didn’t “get” her, but now that I’m watching it again as an adult I find her hilarious. I think she’s by far the most consistent character on the show, and I like that you never know what she’s going to say. Ross, however, gets increasingly worse for me over time!

    1. Ugh Ross! Okay, so we just finished season 3 & one thing that really bothers me on TV shows is when they purposely make a character stupid to break up a couple. Did you watch Gilmore Girls? They did it to a character on that show.

  2. I feel the same way about Phoebe… those episodes will never get old in my book. and I am def. trying those pumpkin bars!! thanks for sharing! hoping to link-up tomorrow 😉

  3. That kale, rice, and bean bowl looks delicious! Can’t wait to try it out. And yes to Phoebe…or should we say, “Princess Consuela Banana-Hammock”? 😉

  4. The soups are an easy rut to get stuck in with this crazy weather. Throw in other hot stuff! I did a chicken in the crockpot yesterday and used it for enchiladas last night, chicken and veggie pasta tonight! Just some ideas 🙂 Found you on Currently… you have a beautiful space here!

  5. I LOVE Friends. We own all 10 seasons, and we just start from the beginning, watch to the end, and then start over. Those episodes never get old even though I’ve seen them all so many times! I love granola. I should check out your recipe!

    1. We’re in the beginning of season 4 and I’m already dreading the impending ending! I watched the finale when it originally aired, but I don’t remember how every character gets wrapped up.

  6. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Oat Bars sound amazing! And I’ve been watching Friends too! I binged watched all 10 seasons back in college but it’s always nice to have a 20 minute break in your day for a few laughs. I’m on season 5 now and wondering what I’m going to do when I finish.

  7. I had never watched Friends until last week it randomly came on after a show husband and I were watching. We got sucked in and watched for 2 hours straight. We don’t have Netflix but it made me want to go back and watch them all.

  8. Those bars look amazing! I love making granola and cereal bars, and i’m always looking for new recipes. 🙂
    Hooray for warmer weather!
