A Short Blonde Christmas

Christmas Playlist

Christmas season is now in full swing and I’m sure many of you are beginning to map out details for your holiday parties. One detail you won’t have to worry about is the music!

Jordan and I love creating playlists and any event is reason enough to listen to a fun musical mix. We create them for holidays, parties, road trips, specific moods, etc.

While there are plenty of Christmas albums, such as Sufjan Stevens, I listen to from start to finish, I enjoy variety in my Christmas music.

A Short Blonde Christmas is a mix of classics and soon-to-be classics. A combination I think you and your guests will enjoy!

A few notable favorites:

Sugar & The Hi Lows / / Sugar Cookie

We had the pleasure of seeing Sugar & The Hi Lows during their Christmas tour with Ingrid Michaelson a couple years ago. Their Christmas EP, Snow Angel, has quickly become a favorite!

RUN-DMC / / Christmas in Hollis

This song reminds me of being young and dancing silly while listening to hip hop with my brothers.

Crystal Lewis / /  Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

I didn’t grow up listening to Crystal Lewis, but Jordan did and I love her jazzy renditions of classic Christmas songs.

  1. Yay! Now that Thanksgiving is over, I can officially get into the holiday spirit!

I wanted to let you know I’ve nominated you for a One Lovely Blog Award. Not sure if you’ve received another nomination, but participation is voluntary. I’ve posted the rules on my blog if you want to participate. 🙂

  2. I love Christmas music! Especially music you don’t normally hear on the radio. I’m listening to the Sugar Hi and Lows’ ‘Sugar Cookie’ song you mentioned in your post. It’s a cute song. And I love sugar cookies! They’re bad for you, but oh so good!

As for favorite Christmas music….wow. I can’t pick! I have so many! I have my own personal Spotify music playlist of Christmas music that I’ve been loving lately. spotify:user:candrach2:playlist:3ylLdOl0viBf5NzOPBOn5i
    – I have no idea if that worked. But if so, feel free to listen!
