Well, as of Saturday night we’re mostly moved in to my parent’s house. My brother, his wife, and two kids were also staying at the house this weekend, so our stuff was placed wherever it would fit. Our room is basically an obstacle course; it’s a miracle I found my work clothes. Despite the chaos, it feels good to have the first leg of our move down.
Making : summer plans.

Reading : Sister Mother Husband Dog Etc. by Delia Ephron
Wanting : a haircut.
Looking: at road trip suggestions.
Playing: podcasts. Some new favorites are The Girls Next Door, Joy the Baker, and Sarah R Bagley.
Wasting: space. I need to organize our room to utilize every nook and cranny.
Wishing: to squeeze every last ounce out of our Chicago summer.
Enjoying: snuggles with my nephew. He’s full of baby rolls and I love it.
Waiting: for answers.
Liking: the new Coldplay album.
Wondering: what this year will hold for our family. So many dreams and aspirations.
Loving: summer produce is in full swing. I’ve been snacking on watermelon all weekend.
Hoping: for peace.
Marvelling: at my dad’s incredible garden.
Needing: grace, for myself and others.
Wearing: jean shorts…i.e jorts.
Following: the French Open. I love watching tennis.
Noticing: my neglected yoga mat all wrapped up.
Knowing: this season of life is fleeting.
Thinking: about our trip to NYC. A lot of planning still needs to happen.
Bookmarking: essential oil uses and tips. Has anyone had luck with headache relief?
Giggling: at the funny conversations we had with our almost three-year-old niece this weekend.
Avery: Where is Uncle Jordan?
Me: He is still sleeping.
Avery: Does he sleep…everyday?!
And I now leave you with this…
